The word "bük" in its name describes a place: in the Turkish Language Association's dictionary bük appears with the meanings of fertile fields along a river bank, a stand of scrub and thorn on a plain or a stream bank, and a bend. "Faravga", on the other hand, is a proper name, but the only source that records the song does not explain whether it is the name of a village, a stream or a person. Haluk Yücel, in his article (2018) examining the words and music of Amasya folk songs, writes the piece as "Faravga'nın bükleri (Taşova)", tying it to Taşova by the district name in brackets. In the genre table it is among the kırık hava, and in the metre table it is marked 4/4.

Lyrics
What is told of the bük of Faravga is unknown: the lines of this song are not in our hands in any written form, and its notation has not been printed. No help comes from an early collection either: the recordings the Ankara State Conservatory team made in Amasya in July 1943 were taken in the city centre, Zigala, Merzifon and Gümüşhacıköy, and there is no melody from Taşova among them. Yücel does not state from which book or archive he took the name, so there is no address to point to for the full text.
Story
No account has been published of how the song was composed or of its connection with the place or person called Faravga. While it is not even settled what the name refers to, there is no story to tell.
Musical Features
In Yücel's metre table the name Taşova occurs in only two rows: in this song, marked in the 4/4 column, and in Dağdan Kestim Çınarı, known from the TRT repertoire, whose asterisk, however, stands in the 8/8 column. The lament Kışlanın Üstünde Kurdum İskele, registered to Taşova by TRT, appears in Yücel's tables without the district name. The mode of the Faravga song is not given.
Performers and Recordings
The genre table places the piece between two TRT songs from Merzifon, Ben de Çıktım Fodullu'nun Üstüne and Eşimden Ayrıldım Yamandır Halim. No trace of a performance, record or broadcast of its own has been found. The melodies of Taşova and the province's other districts are gathered in the general article introducing the province's melodies.
