This is a recording of a drum and a shawm. Cuma Nacak and Veli Döngel, who played the Köçek Havası for the conservatory team, are written down as drummer and zurna player on the collection card of the "Bildiş" tune recorded in the same session. The name of the melody occurs only once in Kaya's catalogue of thousands of recordings, in this Amasya entry. The day of the recording is not written on the card, and the place in Amasya where it was made could not be determined either; the piece did not enter the TRT repertoire, and its notation has not been published.

Lyrics
The piece is a dance tune played on instruments and carries no words; the first-line column in the catalogue is empty. The only way to hear the melody is disc 1111, and the disc, with the rest of the conservatory's collected material, is now at Hacettepe University. Kaya writes that his application to use this material was refused on the grounds of a project prepared for the wax and shellac discs.
Story
There is no printed source on which weddings in Amasya, or by whom, the köçek tune was danced. The catalogue says nothing about how the dance was performed either.
Musical Features
The catalogue gives no scale or rhythm; what we know about the instruments comes from the role notes on the card of the Bildiş played by the same pair. According to Repertükül's account, that card lists Cuma Nacak as "drummer, farmer, 1318" and Veli Döngel, spelled "Töngel", as "zurna player, farmer, 1317". The years are years of birth; Kaya notes that on the cards the year of birth is mostly written in the Rumi calendar.
Performers and Recordings
The pieces the pair played in this session follow one another on the discs: on side B of 1111 first Amasya Üç Ayak ve Yeldirmesi, then this köçek tune; on side A of 1112 "Bildiş ve Yeldirme" and the "Kürt Halayı" Veli Döngel played with Mustafa Kılıç, followed again by Nacak and Döngel's "Tokat Oyun Havası". Of these only the Bildiş passed into the TRT repertoire, where it stands at number 91 as Bildiş Oyun Havası; the köçek tune, for its part, turns up on no recording but this disc. The melodic repertoire of the province, including the tunes played on drum and zurna, is described as a whole in The Melody of Yeşilırmak.
