Amasya a’yânından es-Seyyid el-Hâc Süleyman Bey bin Sâlih Bey bin Kaya Ali Paşa’nın mahdûmudur. Hâciyân ve a’yân a’zâsı olup, mükerreren nakîbü’l-eşrâf kâ’im-makâmı olup 1236 sâline doğru vefât etdi. Meşâhîr-i a’yândan bir hânedân idi. Mahdûmu es-Seyyid Süleyman Paşa ve birâderi de es-Seyyid Kâşif Ömer Paşa’dır.

He was the son of Seyyid Hacı Süleyman Bey, one of the notables (âyan) of Amasya; Süleyman Bey was the son of Sâlih Bey, who was the son of Kaya Ali Pasha. He was a member of the pilgrims and of the council of notables, served several times as deputy (kaymakam) of the nakîbüleşraf (head of the seyyids and sharifs), and died around 1236 [1820-21]. He belonged to one of the well-known families of notables. His son is Seyyid Süleyman Pasha, and his brother is Seyyid Kâşif Ömer Pasha.

The entry lists the generations of a family of notables in Amasya: Kaya Ali Pasha, his son Sâlih Bey, his son Süleyman Bey, and his son Ahmed Bey; Ahmed Bey's son Süleyman Pasha and his brother Kâşif Ömer Pasha. Hüsameddin does not explain why the family counts as "among the famous notables"; he only records the line of descent and Ahmed Bey's deputy-ship of the nakîbüleşraf and his membership in the council of notables. No verifiable source other than Hüsameddin could be found for Kaya Ali Pasha and his descendants. No information on this person was found in other sources.
