Lâdik kazâsı emâretinde bulunan Kızoğulları’nın terâcim-i ahvâli sırası geldikçe yazılır.
In Modern English
She was the daughter of Melik Dânişmend Ahmed Gâzi. She was the wife of Sûlî Bey, one of the Danishmendid emirs. She was very well known in the time of the emirate of the said Sûlî Bey, who was emir of the districts of Niksar and Lâdik. Their sons Arslan Toğmuş and Uluğ Beys became famous as the Kızoğulları.
In Lâdik lies Uluğ Bey, the forefather of the Kızoğulları, and in Niksar lies Arslan Toğmuş Bey, who is also a forefather of the Kızoğulları. The grave of his son, Emîr-i Kebîr Bedreddîn Şâhinşâh, is beside his father's. When I was kadı in Niksar, I brought their graves to light.
The name of the subdistrict of Lâdik in Niksar and the name of the town of Lâdik in Amasya must surely be a corruption of this lady's name. The biographies of the Kızoğulları who held the emirate of the district of Lâdik will be written as their turn comes.

The Discussion of the Name
Hüsameddin guesses that the name Lâdik came by corruption from the name of İldûk Hatun, and he does not present this as certain knowledge, saying "surely". Ladik today is a district of Samsun province, and it is stated that an ancient city called Laodikeia Pontika stood on the site of the district center. This name points to a source older than the explanation Hüsameddin proposes, a derivation from the Hatun's name. We found no record that the name Ladik comes from the name of the Hatun.
The Kızoğulları
We could not verify in the sources we read the names of Danişmend Gazi's daughter, Sûlî Bey, the Kızoğulları, Arslan Toğmuş, Uluğ Bey and Bedreddîn Şâhinşâh, or the graves mentioned in the text. In the sources, of Danişmend Gazi's children it is generally his son Gümüştegin whose name appears. Hüsameddin says he found these graves himself at the time he was kadı in Niksar; this rests the record on his own testimony.
