On His Offices

The text lists the sequence of posts a sipahi held in Amasya and the surrounding provinces: local leadership of the janissary corps, collection of taxes and cizye, administrative posts in Sivas and Tokat, and beytülmal steward in Amasya. Hüsâmeddin's record shows that a notable of Amasya could take posts not only in one city but in several provinces. No information was found in other sources on the offices of Murâd Ağa, his son Ahmed Ağa and his brothers. Which present-day neighborhood the Çeribaşı neighborhood corresponds to could likewise not be verified from the sources we read.
