In Modern English
He was the son of es-Seyyid Mustafa Efendi, son of es-Seyyid eş-Şeyh Ahmed Efendi of the village of Alevî, deputy of the nakîbüleşrâf (head of the sayyids and sharifs), whose biography is given above. After his studies he became known as müderris of the Muhyiddin Mehmed Bey Madrasa in Hakala and as mütevelli of his grandfathers' waqf.
In 1066 he became deputy of the nakîbüleşrâf, in 1069 he was dismissed, and in Safer 1072 he became deputy nakîb for the second time. In Ramazan of the same year he resigned from the nakîbship and retired as sheikh of the Ahî Darbhâneci Tekke. After occupying himself with dhikr and worship in the tekke for ten years, in Zilhicce 1082 he departed for the hereafter.
He was one of the famous good people; a scholar, an ascetic, a person of extremely gentle temper and an open hand. His sons are es-Seyyid Mustafa and Ali Efendis. His son-in-law is Müderris Abdî Efendi, the tezkire author who brought together the scholars and poets of Amasya. His daughter's son es-Seyyid eş-Şeyh Ali Efendi is famous. The line descended from him, the Şeyh Alizâdes, lives on to the present.

The Darbhâneci Tekke
The tekke of which this person was sheikh stood in the old Pervâne Bey Neighborhood, now within the borders of the Dere Neighborhood, east of the Bâlî Bey Mosque. According to a master's thesis on the tekkes of Amasya, the building was built in 836 (1433) by Şemseddin Ahmed Çelebi, steward of the Darbhane (mint). Es-Seyyid eş-Şeyh Ahmed Efendi of the Rifâ'î order served as sheikh in this tekke, and after him es-Seyyid eş-Şeyh Ali Efendi continued this duty. It is said that in Hüsameddin's own time only a ruined mescid remained of the tekke; in front of the tekke there was a fountain built by Hasan Pasha. According to the waqf records, the tekke's income was 3140 akçe in 1520 and 8067 akçe in 1576, and the waqf income was divided into three equal shares: one for the mütevelli in the sheikh's position, one for the expenses of the zawiya, one for the imam.
That the names "es-Seyyid eş-Şeyh Ahmed Efendi" and "es-Seyyid eş-Şeyh Ali Efendi" in the text coincide with the sequence of sheikhs in the thesis is noteworthy: Ahmed Efendi in the thesis may be the same person as the Alevîzâde Hüsameddin relays. But the thesis does not separately state in which century these names lived; the identification is therefore an inference. The text's calling the tekke the Ahî Darbhâneci Tekke is consistent with the name "Ahî Darbhâneci Zawiya" in the thesis.
Hakala and the Muhyiddin Bey Madrasa
The Muhyiddin Mehmed Bey Madrasa, where he served as müderris, was built in Hakala (Hakla) in 1541 by Hacı Beyzâde Muhyiddin Mehmed Çelebi and gave instruction until the mid-nineteenth century. In the section where Hüsameddin describes Hakala, the village of Hakala appears as the center of the nahiye covering the north of Amasya. What the text calls "my grandfather's waqf" is the waqf founded by the person's grandfathers; the name or sources of this waqf are not given here.
Abdî Efendi and the Continuation of the Line
Müderris Abdî Efendi, who is mentioned as the son-in-law, is according to Hüsameddin the tezkire author who gathered the scholars and poets of Amasya. No information on this Abdî Efendi's life and work was found in other sources; the Abdî entry in the TDV İslâm Ansiklopedisi describes Himmetzâde Abdî, a preacher of Istanbul, and has no connection with the Abdî of Amasya. Likewise, no information was found in other sources about the village of Alevî and the nisba Alevîzâde.
It is written that the line of the "Şeyh Alizâdes", named at the end of the text, was still continuing in Hüsameddin's time, that is, at the beginning of the twentieth century. No record was found on the present state of this line.
