He was the second son of Hacı Feyzullah Efendi, one of the notables of Amasya. He studied in Amasya, served some viziers as divan scribe, and then settled in Amasya, where he became divan efendisi and died in 1139 [1726-27]. His sons were Hacı Hüseyin and Ömer Ağa.

The Name in the Title
The nisba "Feyzullahzâde" in the entry title is formed from his father's name ("son of Feyzullah"). The text says his father was one of the notables of Amasya, but does not say on which posts or which period this standing rested. The names of the viziers İsmâil Efendi served are not given either. His death date, 1139, corresponds to 1726-27 in the Gregorian calendar.
