The Upper Fortress and the Dizdarship
In Amasya the upper fortress is the fortress on the summit of Mount Harşena. Hüsameddin's words "came down" describe the commander descending from the fortress to the city when he left his post. The dizdarship passed from father to son: Hüseyin Ağa left the post to his son Mahmud Ağa in 1171. Where the Maramul and Yavru malikânes were and how much revenue they yielded cannot be understood from the text. No information was found in other sources about this person or these malikânes.
