There are other Amasya scholars bearing the name Muhyiddin Mehmed, and they should not be confused with him. One is Lâdikli Mehmed Çelebi, whose nisba derives from Ladik, who was in the circle of II. Bayezid during his governorship of Amasya and is also remembered for his works on music theory. Another is Hatibzâde Muhyiddin Mehmed Efendi, who was born in Amasya in 864 [1460] and served as müderris. No information was found that would establish a link between these two persons and Muhyiddin Mehmed Çelebi from Akdağ.
