Timurtaş, Küçük Şeyh Hasan and Eretna
The names in the text recall the years of the dissolution of Ilkhanid Anatolia. Timurtaş, son of Çoban, had been made governor of Anatolia by the Ilkhanid ruler Abu Said; when his father Emir Çoban was killed in 1327, he set out for Egypt to take refuge and left his brother-in-law Alâeddin Eretna in his place. On Abu Said's death in 1335, Büyük Şeyh Hasan left Eretna as his deputy when he returned to Iran. After Küçük Şeyh Hasan of the Demirtaşoğlu, of the Çobanids, defeated Büyük Şeyh Hasan at Aladağ (1337), he called on Eretna to submit to him; Eretna refused this offer and took the administration of Anatolia into his own hands (738/1337-38), and in the face of Küçük Şeyh Hasan's threats asked the Mamluk sultan for a document of deputyship. The war against Eretna that Hüsameddin mentions in 741 (1340-41) may be a continuation of this confrontation; however, the sources read do not describe a clash of the year 741, so the connection is an inference. The information that Esen Geldi Bey was with Timurtaş goes back to a time before 1327, when Timurtaş left Anatolia.
Kutlu Şah and Amasya
Emir el-Hac Nureddin Kutlu Şah became emir after the death of the Amasya emir Tulî Bey and governed, besides Amasya, Sivas, Tokat and the dependent places, and at times Kayseri and Konya. The date at which he became emir is not exactly known; from certain indications he appears to have been emir in Hijri 747 (1346-47). It is reported that Kutlu Şah fought the Karamanids for a long time, that his brother Şerafeddin Doğan Şah was lord of Turhal, and that Kutlu Şah was defeated and killed in a war with the Karamanids in 762 (1360-61). This framework agrees with the information given for Esen Geldi Bey: the emirate of the Turhal area, service under Kutlu Şah, and a war at Konya. It is conceivable that the "war of Konya" of 758 (1357) was one of Kutlu Şah's wars with the Karamanids, but this is an inference; the source does not state the year or place of that war. In Furkani's article it is written that Kutlu Şah's son Şadgeldi was appointed emir of Amasya in 1359; this shows that the emirate of İnepazarı and Turhal in the span 749-758 lay in the period before Şadgeldi.
No information on Hüsameddin's "Emir Şerefeddin Ya'kub Şâh, son of Torumtay" and his "martyrdom" was found in the sources read. No information was found in other sources on Beytemûr Bay, on Esen Geldi Bey's son Hâs Bey or on his daughter Ayşe Hatun either.
