The Affair of the Mütesellim Hasan Bey

The entry brings two separate people under the same heading: a sipahi descended from Hacı Veli Ağa, who was wounded in war and retired, and a janissary of the sixty-seventh cemaat, called "Genç İbrâhim Ağa." The second was executed in 1220 [1805-06] on the ground that he sided with Hasan Bey, mütesellim of Amasya. Hasan Bey, according to the text, is the son of Caniklizâde Mikdâd Ahmed Pasha and mütesellim of Amasya.

Hüsameddin's phrase "because he sided with him" suggests that the second İbrâhim Ağa was punished not as one of the actual perpetrators of the incident but for having taken Hasan Bey's side. The details of the incident are not related in this entry. No information was found in other sources on Hacı Veliyüddîn Pasha.
