In Modern English
He was the son of Hacı Feyizzâde Hacı Hüseyin Ağa, son of Hacı İsmail Efendi, one of the head gatekeepers (kapıcıbaşı) of the exalted court, who had been the steward (kethüda) of the former chief of the harem servants (şeyhülharem), Gül Ahmed Pasha of Amasya. He grew up in the household of Gül Ahmed Pashazade Hacı Ali Pasha, his father's cousin.
In 1170 [1756-57] he became steward under Ali Pasha's admiralty; in Safer 1171 [1757], when the pasha was dismissed and exiled, he came to Amasya. For a time he was a member of the councils of notables and pilgrims, several times a hacıbaşı (leader of the pilgrim caravan), deputy of the nakîbü'l-eşrâf, superintendent of granaries (anbar emini) in 1184 [1770-71], and for a while a purchasing agent, and he died at the end of 1188 [1775]. He is buried around Aşağı Pirler. He belonged to a long-established, great family of notables.

In the Circle of Admiral Ali Pasha
The "admiralty of Ali Pasha" in the text falls in 1170 [1756-57]; however, the identity of this pasha and the reason for his dismissal could not be verified in the sources consulted. According to Hüsameddin, Hüseyin Ağa returned to Amasya in Safer 1171, when the pasha was dismissed and exiled, and there held a seat in the councils of notables and pilgrims and various local posts. Since his father was also a kapıcıbaşı in Istanbul, the family had ties to the palace circle; this is an inference based on the text.
Place of Burial
The entry gives his burial place as "around Aşağı Pirler". The present name and condition of this area could not be found in the sources consulted. No information on this person was found in other sources.
