Bu da züamâdan olup 1186 târîhinden itibâren üç, dört defa Amasya mîr-âlâyı oldu. 1200 senesi hudûdunda vefât etdi. Eşrâftan, hânedân bir zât idi. Mahdûmu es-Seyyid Mehmed Bey’dir.

He was the grandson (the son of Hacı Mustafa Bey's son) of Hacı Mehmed Bey, one of the notables of the Sarachâne Quarter of Amasya and a zeamet holder belonging to the class of notables. He too was a zeamet holder and from 1186 [1772-73] was three or four times mîr-âlâ (sanjak bey) of Amasya. He died around 1200 [1785-86]. He was one of the notables, of noble family. His son was Seyyid Mehmed Bey.

The Frame of What Is Written
The zeamet is a large kind of timar whose revenue the state left to a sipahi; in return for this revenue the zeamet holder provided mounted soldiers in wartime. Hüsameddin says Ahmed Bey was brought to the sanjak-bey office of Amasya several times after 1186. These years fall in the period when the sanjak of Amasya was given in 1772 as a life-tenure grant (mâlikâne) to Canikli Hacı Ali Pasha. Since the text does not give the dates on which the sanjak-bey office was taken from whom, the sequence of these appointments cannot be established from this entry.
No information on Ahmed Bey and his father Hacı Mehmed Bey was found in any other source. The entry remains the only source in which Hüsameddin gives around 1200 as the date of death.
