The Mü'eyyedzâde Family

The best-known member of the family is Mü'eyyedzâde Abdurrahman Efendi, born in Amasya in Safer 860 (January 1456), who later rose to the kazaskership of Rumelia. His father was Alâeddin Ali Çelebi, son of Şemseddin Müeyyed Çelebi, one of the Kâzerûniyye sheikhs belonging to the Divriklizâdes, a well-known family of Amasya. He took the nickname Müeyyedzâde from his grandfather Müeyyed Çelebi. Some sources trace his lineage back to Ebû İshak Kâzerûnî (d. 1035), the founder of the Kâzerûniyye order.

This information does not match the chain Hüsameddin gives exactly. According to the TDV, Müeyyedzâde's grandfather is Müeyyed Çelebi and his father Alâeddin Ali Çelebi; that is, Müeyyed is Ali's father. In Hüsameddin's chain, however, Mü'eyyed Çelebi appears as the son of Alâeddîn Ali Yârî Çelebi. This difference may mean different persons or different generations; the names are similar and repeated. No source was found that could lead to a definite conclusion. No information was found either on Şeyh Evran and Doğan at the head of the chain.

The Pervâne Bey Waqf

Pervâne Bey is İzzeddin Mehmed Pervâne (d. 1300), known for his waqf deed from the Anatolian Seljuk period. According to an academic study, he drew up in 1299-1300 the waqf belonging to the Burmalı Minare Mosque in Amasya. The Burmalı Minare Mosque was built in 1242 by Ferruh Bey, one of the viziers of Kayhusraw II (Gıyaseddin), and his brother, the treasurer Yusuf Bey; it is on Taşhan Street in the Dere Quarter of Amasya and is open for worship today. Hüsameddin says only "Pervâne Bey Waqf" in the text; that this is the waqf of the Burmalı Minare Mosque is a matching inferred from the identity of the names. No source was found confirming the trusteeship link between the family and this waqf.

The Çeribaşı Quarter

Hüsameddin himself was also born in the Çeribaşı Quarter. Çeribaşı is also counted among the quarters of Amasya in the mid-19th century. No quarter named Çeribaşı was found in the present-day list of quarters of the Merkez district.
