The Osman Çelebi Dârülhadis
The Dârülhadis stood in the Pirinçci quarter, beside the stream, in line with the Hacı Hamza Efendi Mosque. It was built in 933 [1527] as a hadith madrasa by el-Hâc Osman Çelebi, son of the kadı Seydi Ali. The building was of wood. When it burned in a fire in 1011 [1602], Osman Çelebi's granddaughter Ayşe Hatun had it rebuilt in 1018 [1609] and gave its stewardship to her son Şaban Ağa and his children. The madrasa burned again in the fires of 1098 [1687] and 1143 [1730]; it was rebuilt twice, in 1101 [1689] and 1151 [1738]. The endowed revenues were lost over time, and the income of the waqf farm in the nahiye of Geldikalan continued to be given to the müderrises as salary.
Since Moramullu İbrâhim Efendi died in 1147, the last years of his professorship fall in the period after the madrasa's fire of 1143. The building may by then have been repaired or may have been awaiting repair; the sources say nothing definite on this. The person who was müderris in 1151, when the last rebuilding was done, was Ahmed Efendi.
No information on the village of Moramul or on İbrâhim Efendi was found in any source other than Hüsameddin.
