The Pervâne Bey Waqf and the Müeyyedzâdes

The waqf of the Burmalı Minare Mosque in Amasya was arranged by İzzeddin Mehmed Pervâne in 699 [1299-1300]. Whether the "Pervâne Bey waqf" that Hüsameddin mentions is the same as this waqf cannot be understood from the text. The division of the stewardship into one-third shares shows that more than one person held shares in the administration of the waqf.

The Müeyyedzâde family is an old family in Amasya. During Prince Ahmed's governorship of Amasya, Müeyyedzâde Şemseddin Ahmed Efendi, who became the prince's musahip (conversation companion and adviser), is mentioned in an article. It is also recorded that the stewardship of the Yâkub Pasha Tekke passed, after the first family of mütevellis died out, to Müeyyed Çelebi and his children. It is plausible that İbrâhim Efendi was a continuation of this family, but this link is not explicitly made in Hüsameddin's text.

No information on İbrâhim Efendi's kadıship or on the second person, Nûh Ağazâde, was found in any other source.
