In Modern English
He was a native of Amasya, the son of Sefer Ağazâde Elçi Mehmed Pasha of Amasya, one of the viziers. In his early youth he entered the Sublime Porte and served in the riyaset (reisülküttap office) chancery. When his father was emir of the pilgrimage caravan (Emîrü'l-Hâc) with the rank of vizier he went with him to the Hejaz, and on the return came with his father to Amasya.
Later, in the period of his father's rise, he was sent as mütesellim to certain provinces; after his father's death he served as kapıcıbaşı, and during the Iranian wars he was mübâya'acı (responsible for the army's purchasing) and came to Amasya. Then he went to Istanbul and died at the end of 1149 [1737].

The Son of Sefer Ağazâde Mehmed Pasha
İbrâhim Bey's father, Sefer Ağazâde Elçi Mehmed Pasha, was an influential statesman in Amasya; entry 164 in this volume mentions him as the patron who brought Muslîzâde İbrâhim Efendi into the Sublime Porte. İbrâhim Bey's going on the pilgrimage with his father shows the family's connection extending from Amasya to the center of the state and to the Hejaz.
Hüsameddin does not state which Iranian campaign is meant. No information on İbrâhim Bey and his father was found in any other source.
