A Cross-Reference Entry

This entry is short and a cross-reference: the real biography of the person named İbrahim is under the letter "hâ" of the book, because that person is known by the name Hıfzî İbrahim Pasha. The word "kerîmezâde" in the entry shows that İbrahim Pasha is, on his mother's side, the grandson of Gürcüzâde İbrahim Bey. Gürcüzâde İbrahim Bey is a member of one of the leading families of Amasya, described in the entry "İbrahim Bey-Gürcüzâde el-Hâc" in the same volume; that entry states that the family descends from "Büyük Gürcü Ali Bey".

The pasha's names "Ocak İmâmızâde" and "Emîr Ağazâde" show the Seyyid lineage and the tradition of imamate on his father's side. Detail about Hıfzî İbrahim Pasha should be sought in the relevant entry of the book and in other sources; in the sources researched while writing this entry, no separate information on this person was found.
