He is from Amasya. He is the son of Hacı Hayreddîn Halil Pasha, grand vizier of Çelebi Sultan Mehmed Han at Amasya and Edirne; Halil Pasha was the son of Mevlânâ Şemseddîn Ahmed Çelebi, who was the son of İmâm Tâyis el-Osmâncıkî. He is also the daughter's son of Gâzi Çelebizâde Hacı Kutluğ Şâh the Seljuk.
Having studied together with İskender Bey, whose biography is written above, he became one of the zeamet holders and then one of the beys. After serving for a considerable time as bey of Sivas, he came in 843 [1439-40] to the service of Prince Alâeddin Bey, who had become governor of Amasya, as guardian of the Amasya Palace.
In 846 [1442-43], Sultan Murad II, misled by the false reports of certain slanderers, sent the slave Hızır Bey, at whose hands he was killed, dying together with Prince Alâeddin Bey. He lies in his own tomb in the Üçler quarter. He was among the renowned scholars.
His sons are Memî and Muhyiddîn Mehmed Çelebi; his brother is Hurrem Çelebi. Memî Çelebi had his father's tomb built, endowed farms to serve the needs and expenses of the tomb, and assigned stipends to the Qur'an reciters (cüzhâns) and the tomb keeper. The Sülûkîzâdes are his children.

Halil Pasha and the İmâmzâde Family
The vizier Hüsameddin calls "Osmâncıklı" appears in some sources under the name Osmâncıklı İmâmzâde Halil Pasha; according to this source he served as grand vizier from 1406 to 1413, and the word "İmâmzâde" means "son of an imam", which agrees with "İmâm Tâyis el-Osmâncıkî" in Hüsameddin's chain. The same source also names Koca Mehmed Nizamüddin Pasha as his son; Hüsameddin does not mention this name and lists only Memî, Muhyiddîn Mehmed and Hurrem Çelebi.
Prince Alâeddin Bey
Prince Alâeddin Ali Çelebi, named in the text, was a son of Murad II and the elder brother of Mehmed the Conqueror. According to some sources he became governor of Amasya in 1440, was brought up under the guardianship (lalalık) of Yörgüç Pasha, and died in 1443 at the age of eighteen. The cause of death is given in one source as an accident while riding. Hüsameddin, on the other hand, writes that Halil Pasha was killed together with the prince by a slave sent by the sultan. These two accounts differ; in the sources we found, Halil Pasha's name is not mentioned together with Alâeddin's death. Hüsameddin's year 846 [1442-43], however, is close to the 1443 of the sources. About the tomb of Halil Paşazâde in the Üçler quarter, no detail was found in the sources consulted.
Points to Note
The subject of this entry, like that of the previous entry, bears the name İskender Bey; the first is Gâzi Çelebizâde, this one is Halil Paşazâde. Hüsameddin presents the two as relatives, but the exact form of the "brother-in-law" tie in entry 97 is not explained in either text. According to the heading of the entry the person's own name is İskender Bey, while in the text he is referred to only as the son of Halil Pasha. No other record was found that would confirm Memî Çelebi's endowment or the name Sülûkîzâdes.
