Amasya’nın Üçler Mahallesi eşrâfından İbrâhim Bey’in oğludur. Meşâhîr-i züamâdan iken birâderi Veli Paşa’nın sâye-i ikbâlinde mîr-livâ oldu.
In Modern English
He was the son of İbrâhim Bey, one of the notables of the Üçler quarter of Amasya. While he was among the well-known zeâmet holders, he became mîrlivâ (sanjak governor) in the shadow of the rise of his brother Veli Pasha. Later, because he followed Yeğen Osman Pasha and joined an unruly movement, he was killed in 1100 [1688-89].
Another Ahmed Bey, his brother's son and son of Dayı Veli Pasha, was also among the beys. Since he too was a partisan of Yeğen, he was killed in the clash at Bağlıca. A Bey named Ahmed again, a son of the rebel Yeğen Osman Pasha, was killed together with his father in 1100.

The Same Event from Another Side
This entry is the same link in the chain of the rebellion in which Bayburtluzâde Ahmed Pasha, described in the previous entry, was killed. Hüsameddin on the one hand lists separately the beys of Amasya who joined Yeğen Osman Pasha, and on the other writes that all of them were killed around Bağlıca and in 1100. Historians give Yeğen Osman's death as 1689; since the year 1100 began in October 1688 and ended in October 1689, both dates point to the same period.
In another record in volumes 6-8 of the book, it is written that Boyacızâde Hasan Bey was a son of İbrahim Bey and was killed during Yeğen Osman's rebellion; the father's name is the same as that of Ahmed Bey's father in this entry. It is therefore probable that Boyacızâde Ahmed Bey and Hasan Bey were brothers, but the text does not say so plainly. The same record says the Boyacızâdes were called "Yeğenlüler". The word "Yeğenli" at the end of the entry has this meaning: those attached to Yeğen Osman Pasha.
No information was found in other sources on the Boyacızâde family or on the Üçler quarter. No reliable record could be reached on the present name of this quarter either. For the life of Yeğen Osman Pasha, the notes of the previous entry may be consulted.
