On the People in the Text

The epithet "Dördüncüzâde" in the heading must come from his father being called "Dördüncü Hasan Ağa" in the text; the text does not explain the epithet, and this is an inference. One might think the name "Emânî" in the heading is a pen name, but the text does not say so; this is an inference.

Searches on his teacher Müeyyedzâde Pîrî Ahmed Çelebi and his master, the beylerbeyi Alîzâde Hüseyin Pasha, turned up no information. In the searches the name Müeyyedzâde came up for Müeyyedzâde Abdurrahman Efendi, of the Divriklizâde family, born in Amasya in Safer 860 (January 1456). The encyclopedia writes that he took his epithet from his grandfather Şemseddin Müeyyed Çelebi. A link between Pîrî Ahmed Çelebi and this family is not established in the sources consulted and is not stated in the text; for this reason their relationship could not be verified.

The reason for and place of Hüseyin Pasha's killing, and the post he held in 1058 [1648-49], could not be found in the sources read. No further information could be found on Hasan Ağa being called "serdar of Amasya" or on the family of Emânî Ahmed Çelebi.
