In Modern English
He is from Amasya. He is the son of Abdullah Bey, the son of Ali Bey, the son of Yörgüç Pasha, and the brother of İskender Bey. A holder of a zeamet, he was at first among the beys of Şehzade Sultan Ahmed, governor of Amasya, and then attached himself to Sultan Selim Han. At Selim's accession he went on the Iranian campaign as a sanjak bey. In 920 [1514-15] he died as a martyr at the Battle of Çaldıran. His son is Mehmed Bey.

Three Entries from the Line of Yörgüç Pasha
In entries 62 and 99 of the same volume, Hüsameddin mentions two more men who are given the line "Abdullah Bey son of Ali Bey son of Yörgüç Pasha". One is İshak Bey, bey of Trabzon, the other İskender Bey, bey of the sanjak of Niğde. All three are written to have fallen as martyrs at Çaldıran in 920. In İskender Bey's entry his father is described as "Abdullah Bey, famous as Abdî Bey". Since the same volume contains many beys named İskender, that Enîs Bey's brother is this entry is inferred only from the sameness of the line; the text does not say so openly. For İshak Bey no brotherhood is written; the father's name is common.
A son named Ali Bey is not among those counted as Yörgüç Pasha's children: Yörgüç Pasha, beylerbey of Rum and guardian of Murad II, died in 1442, and his sons Hızır, Yûnus and Mustafa and his two daughters Sitti and Hundi Hatun are recorded. It is known that Hızır and Mustafa fell as martyrs at the Battle of Varna. Ali Bey's identity and his tie to Yörgüç Pasha could not be verified in this research.
From Şehzade Ahmed to Selim
The "Şehzâde Sultân Ahmed" of the text is a son of Bayezid II and the elder brother of Selim the Grim. Ahmed, who was seen as the strongest candidate for the throne in his father's old age, was in Amasya. Selim, for his part, was a sanjak bey in Trabzon, and his years of governorship there gave him wide experience. According to what Hüsameddin writes for İshak Bey in entry 62, a bey of this family had gone in 913 [1507-08] to Trabzon, to Selim's side. Enîs Bey's leaving Ahmed's circle and attaching himself to Selim fits this setting; when and why he left cannot be understood from the text.
Selim came to the throne on 24 April 1512. The struggle with Ahmed ended on 15 April 1513 with Ahmed's defeat on the plain of Yenişehir, his capture and his killing. Hüsameddin's words "having become a mîrlivâ at his accession" say that Enîs Bey received the rank of sanjak bey at Selim's accession or was holding that rank at the time; which of the two is not clear.
Sanjak Beys Who Fell at Çaldıran
The Battle of Çaldıran was fought on 23 August 1514. It is reported that the beylerbey of Rumelia and ten sanjak beys were killed on the Ottoman side. The record that Enîs Bey was a "martyr in 920" agrees with the year of this battle, since the Hijri year runs from March 1514 to March 1515. As the sources consulted do not name the ten sanjak beys, whether Enîs Bey was one of them could not be verified. No information was found in other sources about his son Mehmed Bey.
