He is the son of Abdîzâde Seyyid Şeyh Ali Efendi, sheikh of the Darphaneci Tekke in Amasya, former deputy of the nakîbüleşraf, madrasa professor and historian of Amasya. Since he was known as Seyyid Hacı Rüşdü Ahmed Efendi, his biography comes below under the letter "râ".
