The Sultan Bayezid Mosque

The mosque in which the preaching was done is the Bayezid II Mosque in Amasya. The complex was built in 1485-1486 by Prince Ahmed; the mosque, madrasa and soup-kitchen sections have survived. The mosque is regarded as one of the finest examples of the side-chambered mosque type; it is notable for its decorated domes, its kündekâri window shutters and its tile panels.
