A Connection Not Clear from the Text

The phrase "the latter's son" in the text does not show plainly whether it refers to the brother Abdullah Efendi mentioned just before or to the son Süleyman Efendi; judging by the order of the sentence it is more likely to be the son of Abdullah Efendi (inference). No record was found that would settle the identity of Servahdî Ahmed Efendi.
