In Modern English
He was from Amasya. He was the son of Hindîzâde Mustafa Ağa, one of the holders of zeamets (züamâ); Mustafa Ağa was the son of Hacı Ahmed Bey, Ahmed Bey the son of Ali Bey, and Ali Bey the son of Hindî Ahmed Pasha. In his youth he came to Istanbul and, during the aghalık of Seyyid Mustafa Pasha, brother of Kara Vezîr Mehmed Pasha, entered his household and was taken in at the Sublime Porte (Bâb-ı âlî) to be trained as an apprentice.
Because his father had been the pasha's steward during the pasha's vizierate, he advanced at the Sublime Porte and reached the rank of hâcegân; he then became the pasha's secretary of the divan and afterwards door steward (kapı kethüdâsı). He died on the first day of Safer 1231 [January 1816]. He is buried in Eyüp.

The Hindîzâde Family
Hüsameddin traces the man's descent back four generations to Hindî Ahmed Pasha; no information on this pasha or on the family's zeamet in Amasya was found in the sources read. A later entry of the same volume (Dizdârzâde Emîn Mehmed Efendi) mentions yet another madrasa professor and judge, "Hindîzâde es-Seyyid Emîn Mehmed Efendi", whose line is given as "Ali Ağa son of Mustafa Ağa son of Hacı Ahmed Bey". The link "Mustafa Ağa son of Hacı Ahmed Bey" in that line is the same as the man given here as Emîn Mehmed Efendi's father. If it is the same Mustafa Ağa, the Emîn Mehmed of this entry would be a brother of the other man's father; this is an inference, and the texts do not state the relationship.
The Posts Hüsameddin Reports
No information that would explain the man's relations with Kara Vezîr Mehmed Pasha and his brother Seyyid Mustafa Pasha, who are named in the text, was found in the sources read. The connection Hüsameddin gives, that the father was the pasha's steward and that the son rose in the same pasha's household from secretary to door steward, rests on his account alone. The date of death (the beginning of Safer 1231) and the burial in Eyüp could not be checked against another source either.
