The Hacı Beyzade Family

The relationship between the "Hacı Beyzade Mehmed Pasha" of the text and Ahmed Çelebi's grandfather could not be established in the sources read; the surname "Hacı Beyzade" suggests a family, but the identity and offices of Mehmed Pasha were not found. Elsewhere in his book, Hüsameddin mentions the Hacı Beyzades as a well-known family from the Hakala area of Amasya: he writes that Kasım Bey had a madrasa built and endowed in Hakala, that Mirza Bey built a mosque in 935 [1528-29], and that Muhyiddin Bey built a madrasa and a bath in 947 [1540-41]. Another study reports that the Muhyiddin Bey Madrasa, built in Hakala in 1541 by Hacı Beyzade Muhyiddin Mehmed Çelebi, served until the middle of the nineteenth century. This information shows that Hacı Beyzade was the name of a family that founded waqfs in Amasya; whether Ahmed Çelebi was trustee of this family's waqfs is not stated.

Emrî Ahmed Çelebi

No information was found in the sources read on Ahmed Çelebi's poems, on the pen name "Emrî," or on his father İbrâhim Bey, a zeamet holder.
