The Tâceddîn İbrâhim Pasha Complex

The uncle in the text is the man who had the Tâceddîn İbrâhim Pasha Mosque built in Merzifon. The mosque is on Kunduracı Street in the Gazimahbub quarter; its waqf deed is dated 1495, and the building is thought to have been built before 1494. It is a square-plan, single-domed building. Its cut-stone minaret was damaged down to the balcony level in the earthquake of 1941 and remained closed until the 1970s. The mosque was repaired in 1975 and 2020 and is owned by the General Directorate of Foundations. The Pasha Bath is also mentioned as part of the same complex. Hüsameddin's "in Köprü" and modern sources' pointing to Merzifon differ from each other; what the place name in the text corresponds to did not become clear in this research.

The Circle of Prince Ahmed

The date 918 coincides with the year Prince Ahmed was defeated by Selim; some of the beys in Ahmed's retinue were removed from office in this period. Süleyman Bey's son's being favored with a mirlivalık took place in 1515-16 through the intercession of the kazasker Ca'fer Çelebi. Tâcîzâde Câfer Çelebi is a scholar named among the students of Hatîbzâde Muhyiddîn Efendi.

The genealogy consisting of Gâzi Mehmed Bey, İbrâhim eş-Şirvânî and Safî Çelebi could not be found in any other source. No additional information was found on the lives of Süleyman Bey and his son either.
