The Gümüşlüzâdes and the Halvetî Order

The name Gümüşlüzâde in the chain of descent points to the family associated with the settling of the Halvetî order in Amasya. It is reported that Pîr İlyâs returned to Amasya in 1406 after the death of Timur and brought Halvetism here. Amasya was the first centre from which Halvetism spread in Ottoman lands. Hâce Celâl Çelebi, a close associate of Pîr İlyâs, founded the Gümüşlüoğlu Lodge (Tâciye) a year after the sheikh's arrival; this lodge was the first Halvetî lodge to operate in Amasya.

After Pîr İlyâs went to Shirvan, his nephew Gümüşlüzâde Celâleddîn Abdurrahman Çelebi became mufti of Amasya. The Celâleddîn Abdurrahman Çelebi who appears under the same name in Hüsameddin's chain of descent may be this person; however, no direct record was found that the names in the chain belong to the same persons, and this is a conjecture.

The Osmân Çelebi Madrasa

A wooden Dârülhadis Madrasa built in Amasya in 1527 by the judge Osmân Çelebi, son of Seydi Ali, is known. It could not be determined whether the Osmân Çelebi Madrasa from which İbrâhim Çelebi retired is this building. No details about Gümüşlüzâde İbrâhim Çelebi himself could be found apart from Hüsameddin.
