In 918 [1512-13], on the prince's death, he went on the pilgrimage; on his return he occupied himself with the affairs of the said mosque, showed zeal for the terms of the Üçler Waqf, and then became city steward again. He died around 935 [1528-29]. He was one of the great notables, a man whose word carried weight, of a noble family, generous and wealthy. His sons were Kâsım and Mehmed Çelebi.

The Hacı Hamza Quarter and Mosque
In a study listing the structures built in Amasya in the era of the princes, the Hacı Hamza Bey Mosque is given with the date 1469, and the Hacı Hamza Fountain as built in 1468 in front of the quarter's mosque. This date confirms that the Hacı Hamza Beyzâde family of the text was a family making waqfs in Amasya from the second half of the 15th century. The Kuba area is, according to some sources, a quarter shaped in 1453 by the Hüsâmiye Madrasa. That the Hacı Hamza quarter lies in this area agrees with the location given in the text.
The word "şehremini", according to the TDV İslâm Ansiklopedisi, denotes an official of the Hâcegân class in the Ottoman palace organization who provided the palaces' needs and the materials necessary for repairing public buildings. One may suppose that İbrâhim Çelebi of the entry performed a similar task around the prince's palace; the text does not explain this. The "Üçler Waqf" must be the waqf of the Üçler Tomb in Amasya and its surroundings; the Üçler is, according to local tradition, a place commemorating three dervishes who came from Khorasan. These two readings are inferences.
No information was found in any other source on İbrâhim Çelebi and his father Kâsım Bey. That he went on the pilgrimage after Prince Ahmed's death in 918 suggests that he may have been avoiding the political consequences of his tie with the prince; the text does not say so.
