In Modern English
He was a native of Amasya. He was the son of Bâyezîd Bey, one of the beys; Bâyezîd Bey was the son of Uğur Bey; he was the son of Şemseddîn Ahmed Bey; he was the son of Hâce Alâeddîn Ali Şâh; and he in turn was the son of Kutlu Bey. He used to be called Uğurlu İbrâhim Bey. During Prince Alâeddîn Bey's governorship of Amasya he had been warden of Amasya (commander of the fortress). When the prince was martyred he was removed from the post, and he died after 849 [1445-46]. His son was the scholar Bâyezîd Çelebi.
Turhallı İbrâhim Çelebi was the son of Emîr İzzeddîn Hasan Bey; he too was one of the notables of Amasya. In 850 [1446-47] he appeared as a witness to the waqf deed of Aydın Beyzâde Ali Bey. He died afterwards. His father İzzeddîn Bey was one of the beys of Sultan Murad II.

The Prince's Death and the Warden's Post
The wardenship is a post concerned with the defense of the city and fortress; that during the prince's governorship it was given to one of Amasya's native beys shows that local families also had a place around the prince. The text links İbrâhim Bey's dismissal directly to the prince's death. It is written that Prince Alâeddîn Ali Çelebi died in 1443 near Bursa in a riding accident. Hüsameddin, however, in other entries refers to the same event with the word "ıhnâk", meaning strangling; for this reason the manner of the death is not given with the same clarity in the sources. In this entry the death appears only with the word "şehâdet".
No details on the lives of Uğurlu İbrâhim Bey and Turhallı İbrâhim Çelebi could be found in any other source. The genealogies and dates therefore rest solely on Hüsameddin's account.
