He was a native of Niksar. He was the son of Mehmed, son of Hasan [the phrase in the text: "he is the son of Hasan bin Mehmed"]. He acquired learning from Mevlânâ Ferîdeddîn Mehmed Devvânî, a student of Seyyid Şerîf Cürcânî and müderris of the Sultâniye Madrasa in Merzifon, and from Mevlânâ Şücâ'eddîn İlyâs Merzifonî, a student of Hâfızeddîn Mehmed Buhârî, and he gave public lectures in Amasya.

He taught for years and became famous, and became müderris of the Yörgüç Pasha Madrasa; he died after 862 [1457-58]. He was one of the great scholars and a man of virtue. His son Mevlânâ Muhyiddîn Mehmed Çelebi is famous under the epithet Niksârîzâde.

İbrâhim Bey is the son of Mûsâ Bey, son of Bektemür; Mûsâ Bey was the son of İmâdeddîn Süleyman Bey. The Sultaniye Madrasa in Merzifon

The Sultâniye Madrasa in Merzifon named in the text is today known as the Çelebi Mehmed Madrasa. According to the inscription over its door, construction began in 1414 on the order of Çelebi Sultan Mehmed, and the building was completed in 1417 by Umur Bey, son of Ali. It is written that its first müderris was Ferîdüddîn Mehmed Çelebi. The teacher whom Hüsameddin names "Ferîdeddîn Mehmed Devvânî" matches this name. Well-known scholars such as Seydî Şemseddîn Ahmed-i Kırîmî and Rükneddîn Abdülkerîm of Amasya also taught at the same madrasa in later years. The man of the entry, having taken his education from these sources, returned to Amasya.

The Yörgüç Pasha Madrasa

The Yörgüç Pasha Madrasa, where the man served as müderris, was part of the Yörgüç Pasha Complex in Amasya. The complex stood in the Gökmedrese quarter, dated by sources to 1428-1430, and consisted of a mosque, madrasa, bath, han and imaret. Today only the mosque and the tomb west of the mosque's entrance stand. Yörgüç Pasha was lala to Prince Murad, son of Çelebi Sultan Mehmed; he later also took on the lalaship of Prince Alâeddîn. The location and foundation of the complex coincide with the beginning of the era of the princes.

No other source was found in my searches on the Devlet Hatun Waqf or on Yûsuf Paşazâde Mehmed Bey and the sons of Bektemür. It is possible that Niksarîzâde Muhyiddîn Mehmed is the same person as the "Niksarlı Muhyiddîn Mehmed b. İbrâhim" mentioned in the entry on Hatîbzâde Muhyiddîn Efendi in the TDV İslâm Ansiklopedisi; but since the entry does not state this identity explicitly, it is noted only as a possibility.
