The Hızır Pasha Lodge and Memi Dede

The Hızır Pasha Lodge stood in the old Şâmîce Quarter, around today's Gökmedrese, on the west side of the Gökmedrese Mosque. The lodge burned in 1688 (1099). In studies on the Halvetî lodges in Amasya, Memi Dede and Memi Dedezâde İbrâhim Efendi are mentioned among the sheikhs of the Hızır Pasha Lodge. Kutb Ahmed Efendi, on the other hand, appears in these studies as the sheikh of the İmaret Lodge in Amasya; Hüsameddin, however, counts him as Memi Dede's successor and ties İbrâhim Efendi's sheikhship at the Hızır Pasha Lodge to his death.

It was not possible to verify in another source, in the same form, the order of sheikhs that Hüsameddin gives (Muhyiddîn Mehmed Efendi, Kutb Ahmed Efendi, İbrâhim Efendi, Hüsâmeddîn Efendi). The brother of the same sheikh, Hamdullah Efendi, and the latter's son İbrâhim Efendi are mentioned in entry 124.
