The Receb 1031 Incident
The incident Hüsameddin calls the "1031 Receb incident" is the deposition of Osman II on 8 Receb 1031 (19 May 1622). The sources state that his attempts to reorganize the Janissary corps increased distrust within the corps, and that this led to the uprising. İbrâhim Agha's going into hiding in this turmoil must be connected with his holding a post close to the sultan as voivode of Galata; this is an inference, and the text does not give the reason.
Steward of the Silver Mine
The stewardship of the silver mine in Amasya is an old post; it is known that Hacı Halil Pasha was appointed in 1403 by Çelebi Sultan Mehmed to the stewardship of the silver mine in the town of Amasya. The text does not say at which silver mine the second İbrâhim Agha mentioned by Hüsameddin served. The same person also appears in entry 116 of the book as Kuloğlu İbrâhim Agha son of Halîl Agha. The date of death differs in the two entries: here 1041, there after 1068.
No information about Çavuş İbrâhim Agha himself was found in other sources.
