He studied in Istanbul and gave public lectures, became a müderris (madrasa professor) after an examination, and, having completed the ordinary madrasa grades, died in 1148 [1735-36] while müderris of the Süleymaniye Dârülhadîs. He was a mature man among the great müderrises. His son is Musliheddin Efendi, one of the great kadıs (judges).

An Istanbul Müderris from Amasya
The career of Muslîzâde Ahmed Efendi shows the rise of a scholar from Amasya through the madrasas of Istanbul: study in Istanbul, examination, passage through the madrasa grades in order, and finally the post of müderris of the Süleymaniye Dârülhadîs. The text implies, through the phrase "great müderrises", that this post was a high step in the scholarly (ilmiye) hierarchy. It is also notable that his brother Hacı İbrahim Efendi is called a "famed defterdar"; one member of the same family won renown in the scholarly career, another in finance. That his son is counted among the great kadıs shows that the line carried on the ilmiye tradition.
No information on Ahmed Efendi, his brother the defterdar, or his son Musliheddin Efendi was found in other sources.
