Köprülüzâde's Kethüda
İbrâhim Pasha's master, Köprülüzâde Abdullah Pasha, was killed on 19 June 1735 at the Battle of Arpaçay while fighting Nadir Shah's army. The dates 1149 and 1151 that Hüsameddin gives fall in the years after the pasha's death. Therefore İbrâhim Pasha's appointment to the sanjak of Amasya can be counted among the posts given after his master's death to those from his circle; this is an interpretation.
Hüsameddin places the death in 1151 during the "Iranian war." The Ottoman-Iranian wars are counted in some sources in three phases, 1723-27, 1730-32 and 1732-36; 1151 [1738] falls outside these. The book does not state where and in which engagement the death occurred; this matter could not be verified.
The nickname "Dedezâde" is also used in this volume, in entry 152, for another İbrâhim Pasha; the book establishes no kinship between the two. In 1647, when Evliya Çelebi traveled, Köprü was a district attached to the Sanjak of Amasya, and it is today Vezirköprü, in Samsun province.
