In Modern English

He was a native of Amasya. He was the son of the city steward el-Hâc Mehmed Ağa, who in turn was the son of Habîb Ağa. He too was among the sipahis and became kethüdâyeri of Amasya, voyvoda of Tokat and treasury (beytülmal) steward of Amasya. Later he attached himself to Kapıcızâde el-Hâc Ahmed Pasha of Amasya during the latter's bostancıbaşılık, and became his kethüda during his kaptan-ı deryalık (grand admiralty). Aydın Ağa's Circle

The name Habîbzâde points to the ancestor of the Aydın family named Habîb; his kinship with Aydın Pasha in entry 62 is not stated in the text. The entry gives, in a short record, how a sipahi of Amasya came out of local posts (kethüdâyeri, voyvoda, treasury steward) to become the kethüda of a statesman from Amasya in Istanbul, and how he fell with him and returned to his homeland in exile.

On Kapıcızâde el-Hâc Ahmed Pasha, mentioned as his master, no information could be found in this research in a list of grand admirals or in any other source. For this reason in which years he served as bostancıbaşı and grand admiral, and when he was executed, could not be determined. No information was found on a kinship between this Pasha and Kapıcızâde Âhî Ahmed Efendi (d. 1008), mentioned in entry 54 of the same book.

No information on Aydın Ağa was found in other sources.
