The Güdüloğulları and the Hâbiloğulları
The entry gives the genealogy of an emir family that was influential in Amasya in the Seljuk and Eretnid periods. Güdül Bey is mentioned as an emir with a kinship tie to the Seljuk dynasty; his son Türkânşah, his grandson Tuli Bey and Tuli Bey's two sons (Bedreddin İbrahim and Mübârizeddin Halife Alp) are the links of this chain. The name of Halife Alp is similar to that of Mübârizeddin Halifet Gazi, who appears in the records concerning the Halifet Gazi Madrasa in Amasya; however, that the two names indicate the same person could not be verified in this research.
The expression Eretna Han indicates Alâeddin Eretna, who founded that principality. Eretna ruled the principality, centered on Sivas and Kayseri, between 1335 and 1352 and brought Amasya under his sovereignty as well. That the Hâbiloğulları had a marriage tie with the Eretna family shows the relation of the emirs of Amasya to this state. In a later entry (70) it is also written that Tâceddin İbrahim Bey, descended from the line of Hâbil, was the brother-in-law of the Eretnid sultan.
Hüsameddin's concluding sentence ("The Kadızâdes too will have been a branch of them") is not certain information but a guess; the author himself indicates this by saying "will have been." The genealogical chain could not be verified in another source.
