In Modern English
He was a native of Amasya. He was the son of Tur Hasan Bey, one of the beys; Tur Hasan Bey was the son of Ali Çelebi; and he in turn was the son of Tura Pasha. Because of this connection he was also called Turaoğlu. While a zeamet-holding sipahi he became one of the beys, and afterwards he was among the beys and close associates in the retinue of Prince Sultan Ahmed, governor of Amasya. In 918 [1512-13], in the war between Sultan Selim and Ahmed, he died of wounds. He was one of the famous beys.

The War of Ahmed and Selim
The "battle of Selim and Ahmed" in the entry is the last pitched battle of the struggle for the throne among the sons of Bayezid II. Prince Ahmed, misled by false letters, set out from Malatya, gathered forces in Amasya, and from there marched via Konya in the direction of Bursa. The battle was fought at Yenişehir near Bursa in April 1513 (given in the sources as 15 or 24 April) and ended in Selim's victory; Ahmed was captured and executed. Hüsameddin's date 918 fits this battle.
That İbrâhim Bey in the text was in Ahmed's retinue and died of wounds in the battle shows that Amasya's local beys served in the prince's army. In other entries of the same volume (6-94, 6-95, 6-98, 6-99), the year 918 appears as the beginning of the exile, imprisonment or dismissal of those regarded as close to Ahmed.
No information was found in any other source on Tura Pasha, Tur Hasan Bey and Ali Çelebi.
