The Uçaroğlus and Tayyar Mehmed Pasha

Tayyar Mehmed Pasha was the son of Uçar Mustafa Pasha, who died in 1625 (1034) while governor of Baghdad, and came from the Yeni Bey family in Lâdik. He became sanjak bey of Urfa in 1618, governor of Aleppo in 1621 and beylerbey of Sivas in 1622; he is reported to have recovered Sivas by negotiation from the rebel Abaza Pasha. In August 1638 he became grand vizier, and during the siege of Baghdad, on 23 December 1638, he was killed by a bullet that struck his forehead as he charged at the head of the soldiers with sword in hand. His grave is beside his father's in Baghdad. It is told that Murad IV said he was worth a hundred fortresses like Baghdad. Tayyar Mehmed Pasha also trained Köprülü Mehmed Pasha, who would later become grand vizier. İbrâhim Bey's "becoming mîr-livâ under his uncle's grand vizierate" falls in this short grand vizierate (1638).

The Rebellion of Abaza Hasan Pasha

Abaza Hasan Pasha is the man who began one of the greatest Celâlî rebellions in Ottoman history. His second and greatest rebellion ended with his killing in Aleppo on 16 February 1659 (1069). The date 1069 that Hüsameddin gives for İbrâhim Bey's death agrees with these events. Who the cousins killed on the same date were cannot be understood from the text.

The Alaybeyi of Amasya

The alaybeyi is the commander at the head of the sipahis in a sanjak and the sanjak bey's most important military assistant. It is written that Memi Beyzâde İbrâhim Bey died in the Rumeli war in 1074; this date coincides with the period of the Austrian campaign of 1663, but the text does not give the name of the campaign. No information about Memi Beyzâde İbrâhim Bey was found in another source.
