Amasyalı Mehmed bin Hasan oğludur. Ulemâdan tahsîl-i ulûm ederek ders-i âm ve 1091’de Dârüsselâm Mahallesi mescid-i şerîfine imâm olup 1108 senesi cûmâdelâhiresinin sekizinde vefât etdi. Âlim, sâlih ve vâiz idi. Mahdûmu ulemâdan Hasan Efendi mescid-i mezbûr imâmı olduğu halde 1150 senesi saferinde vefât etdi. Bunun mahdûmu Hâfız Mustafa Efendi de bu mescide imâm olup 1192 şevvâlinde ve bunun mahdûmu İmâm es-Seyyid Hâfız Hüseyin Efendi 1236’da vefât etdi. Bunlara İmâm Hocaoğulları dendi.
